I grew up in Cali and moved to New York 7 years ago. I have to say, this whole “this is just how we are” thing New Yorkers do to defend the rudeness is wild to me. Generally the only ones who do this have limited self awareness or desire to reflect. There is nothing wrong with having a “savage mouth” but learn to watch yaself and your tone with the people you want to keep in your life
